Chubu withdraws restart applications for Hamaoka units

Japanese utility Chubu Electric Power Company has said it will withdraw applications for regulatory reviews of units 3 and 4 at its Hamaoka nuclear power plant in Shizuoka Prefecture after an independent committee found that workers felt under pressure from senior management to manipulate earthquake data submitted to the regulator.
