Takaichi Urges UN to Cut Japan’s 1940s-Era ‘Enemy State’ Label

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi will call for the United Nations to remove references in its charter that refer to Japan and Germany as “enemy states,” a classification recently highlighted by China to criticize Tokyo amid a breakdown in relations over remarks Takaichi has made about Taiwan.
